  Hey guys. I have a free WordPress blog. I’m trying to figure out how to remove the Caroline theme link at the bottom of my page. I sell Scentsy and my blog won’t get approved until I remove that link. I had removed it before on my old site but I can’t remember how I got it off. It may of been because I had paid for the customization and had access to the css. Anyway I can get it off this site?
  I turned my other blog off and I really don’t want to pay for the customization on this one as well.

  If you delete the theme credit in the footer your free-hosted site will be in violation of the terms of service you agreed to when you signed up for an account on WordPress.com. Violating the terms of service will likely get your site suspended.

  So even if I pay for my site and remove that I will be in violation?

  You can choose to host your site yourself, using WordPress.ORG software.
  Here are details about the different flavors off WordPress:
  http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  A CSS upgrade is just that: an upgrade which allows you to alter the appearance of your blog. You are still hosted (for free) on WordPress.com and thus subject to the Terms of Service you agreed to when you signed up for an account.

  Note that there are other blogging platforms which do not have the requirement of attribution of the theme designer and host. Blogger, for example (I think) is also free.

  Thanks guys. I use to host mine. I may just do that again. I remember I had a rough day trying to figure out how to get that all sorted out lol. So I’ve been procrastinating on doing again. I feel the free site has worked just as good for me. Thanks again.
