Footer on Illustrator Theme

    I am using the Illustrator Theme for this new site: DPCampsPostWarGermany.wordpress .com
    I have been having trouble with the ‘+’ box at the bottom of the page. It’s not appearing on some pages when I visit the site. It just takes me to the top of the page. I also get a weird dropdown at the top of each page. I’m completely lost as to how to fix this. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Ann Utterback

    Hi there,

    I see what you are saying. This appears to be an issue when on Firefox, but not when using Chrome or Safari. I have reported it to our developers to take a look at and hopefully fix soon. You can track the progress here:

    In the meantime, you can use a browser other than Firefox in order to see the footer on each page.

    If it helps, I just went through all the pages available from the main menu with current production version of Firefox (mac), and I did not encounter any of the problems described.

    Everything worked as expected.

    I did this as I was already working on a reply, but slower to post. <g>

    So, it didn’t have an issue on all of the pages, but on some, even as I updated Firefox, the issue still remains. @drizzleblocks, you don’t have an issue when you try to expand the footer on this particular page?

    Thanks @drizzleblocks, that’s helpful. I just checked as well (FF 65.0.1 on macOS 10.14) and on mine the plus sign at the bottom always brings me back to the top. Can you confirm what versions of Firefox and macOS you’re using, so we can add that to the report?

    Also, @asutterback, would you take a look at the issue we filed and confirm whether the weird dropdown issue you’re seeing is showing up in the screen captures there? I was not able to duplicate that part myself.

    For me, the footer toggle on that page works exactly as I would expect, and (for me) exactly as it does from all the other pages linked in the main menu.

    I am browsing with (mac) Firefox 66.0.03.

    Yes, when I look at the problem as @drizzleblocks has posted it, it is exactly what I am having difficulty with. I want the “+” sign to open that footer to show the Menu and the Translator.

    OK. I’m running those same updated versions now and I still see the issue with the plus sign, so we’ll leave that report as is.

    I also got a chance to witness the weird drop down you were talking about. It looks like that’s an ad (we show ads in various places on free sites to help cover our costs) but it’s not functioning correctly so it just looks weird. I’ve taken a screenshot of that and sent it to our ads team so they can address it. Cheers!

    I can confirm we’ve filed a bug report on this issue. It works in many browsers but they’re working on a fix for the browser where it does not work. We’ll update you when we hear back with a fix.
