  I’ve gone to try to edit our footer.php area but it’s saying I need write access. Can you help?

  For what site is this?

  It’s not possible to edit any sites files directly for sites hosted on WordPress.com, so it sounds like you’re rather using the open source WordPress.org software at another hosting provider. We’re only able to help with sites hosted on our servers at WordPress.com.

  Please ask the WordPress.org community for advice instead in that case. They provide support for the version of WordPress you’re using:
