Footer problems

  Hi,

  I want to recognise that my site is powered by wordpress and that the theme is eventbrite single. However, I want this site to function as a website not a blog and am wondering if there is anyway to change ‘blog’ at wordpress.com to ‘website’ at wordpress.com. I know its a copyright infringement to change the footer, but would a change like this be allowed since I am still acknowledging that it is powered by wordpress?

  If you ever add any real content to your blog then the footer will be down on the web site where nobody really reads it anyway –

  I think you are wasting a lot of time on something that does not matter much –

  And until you change to a custom domain name everyone visiting your blog opps sorry “web site” will know you are at WordPress.COM – the domain name would do more to take away what ever stigma you think might be attacthed about being hosted here
