  Two quick thoughts:

  At the bottom of any webpage, there is a bar that says something along the lines: “wordpress.com | Theme: so and so | Designer/Co.: so and so”….Can you delete this if you go completely custom(premium everything?)

  Second, can I edit and design my website without the world seeing what I am doing…It seems like once you buy a premium template and you activate, its live!!! I dont want my site live until I am ready for it to launch?

  May I remove credit links such as ‘Blog at WordPress.com’, theme, font, or toolbar links?
  All WordPress.com bloggers are required to maintain the credit links, even our VIP bloggers. Please do not hide the footer credits or the toolbar with CSS after purchasing a Custom Design upgrade.

  Thank you for your response. I dislike the options WordPress.com has for the credit section. It is not very user friendly, in fact it can be a deal breaker to me and to potential new customers.

  Also, thanks for answering regarding the visibility question. I did that, but still seemed like it was viewing live(even when I logged out of wordpress)…

  Im probably way over my head with trying to take this approach – but whatever…I like and want what I like and want…

  If your clients are will to pay not only you to set blogs for them but also for web hosts and they do have the skills required to maintaining their own sites then WordPress.ORG installs are a option you can pursue. Here’s a link to a relevant comparison > WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org

  I know, Ive stopped all sampling and design because it is visible…I dont think Im going this route right now. I am not comfortable with it. I like the platform, however, I am not savvy enough with .org….Thank you! I am going to brainstorm some more options.
