Footer same as sidebar – how to remove/fix this?
-
Hello,
I was playing around with Appearance > Menus, and I am not really sure how, but I ended up with a massive footer a the bottom of my blog, containing exactly the same information as the side bar (recent posts, recent comments, archives, categories, meta).
All I wanted to do was to add a second menu bar (home, about, class slides, resources, contacts), the bottom of the page as well but I must have done something wrong…
Is there a way to reverse this and make it so that I won’t have that massive footer looking exactly like the sidebar?
Or is this perhaps a feature of the free theme that I chose, and I am only realizing this now?
I have searched on the internet for support on this, but I was unable to find an answer. My apologies if I am asking a silly question, or a question that has already been asked.
Thanks!!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @sofiagmontreal,
That looks like a hiccup with your widget areas.
Your theme seems to support 3 footer columns, but as you might guess now, all your widgets got squeezed into a single column.
You can fix that by going to Appearance > Widgets from your Dashboard, and reordering your widgets into the different footer columns as you like.
Does that help?
