Footer Widget and Flickr gallery page
-
Hi,
I have two questions:
I would like to know if I can put in a Footer Widget Bar to add the social media widgets to Expound Theme?
Also I am wondering if I can link Flickr gallery to a page on my website?
My website is: http://rachealsrealm.com.
Thanks.
Racheal

Hi Racheal – The Expound theme doesn’t have a footer widget area, but you can put your social media buttons in the sidebar:
Add Social Media Buttons to Your Sidebar or FooterYou can use the Flickr widget:

With a Flickr Gallery, I would like to create a page that will show the flickr gallery rather than a widget. Like a photography page. I hope this make sense.
I am working on the social media button now.

HI Racheal – There isn’t any way to have your photo stream just display on a page automatically, rather than in a widget.
However, you could just have a menu tab on your site that links directly to Flickr:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/#adding-custom-linksOr, you could create a page and embed your Flickr images in it. You can get the embed code from Flickr by clicking on each image, clicking the ‘More ways to share’ button and copying the code in “Grab the HTML/BBCode.”
Or you could just upload the same images to your WordPress.com blog and display them in a gallery:
GalleryOh and what is the link for follow me on wordpress do you know?
Anyone can follow you by using the ‘Follow Me’ widget in your sidebar, or the logged-out Follow button at the bottom of your site.
You can also add a Follow Button:
