Footer Widget Padding

  • Unknown's avatar

Hi – I am adding image widgets to my footer and the spacing is weird between them. I want the images to show up all horizontally right next to each other. Live chat suggested I ask you for help. How do I get the images closer together? I think I have to change the padding? I am new to CSS but I think I’m in the right area?
Thank you so much for your help.

    Hi there!

I’m assuming you are talking about the three images on the right side of your footer, correct?

There may be a fix for this in CSS, but I think the easier thing to try first is for you to put the code for all three images into the same text widget. Right now you have three separate text widgets that are 264px wide–that’s what’s causing your problem.

Could you copy and paste the code for the second two images into the same text widget as the first one and see what that looks like? If you could also paste the code from the widget here that would help incase we need to futz with it a bit as well.

After you paste the code here, but before you click submit, be sure to highlight just the code and click the “code” button above. That way the code can’t interfere with the forum thread.

It totally worked! I used “inspect element” to copy the html (including the link to the website I wanted each icon to take me to) and it worked. Thank you so so much. You are awesome.

That’s great to hear. I’m glad you got it to look the way you want it.
