  What exactly are you referring to?
  You can add a text widget to your footer if that’s what you were looking for:

  I am not sure if that’s what I mean or not. How would you add a footer?

  I’m looking to add webpage references to my blog posts with footnotes at the bottom of the page. So I has the [1] which links to the webpage at the bottom e.g

  [1] bbc.com

  Ahh footnotes rather than a footer. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

  You can do that with markdown. It takes a few steps to get all that set up, though, so to be sure we’re sending the right instructions, could you send a link to the site you need help with? If it’s not hosted here you’ll likely need different steps.
