For a group blog, do all authors need to have their own WordPress.com Blog?
-
I am trying to sign up a bunch of people who may not want their own individual blogs to participate in a group blog. I am noticing that when I invite them to be authors to the blog that creating their login requires them to create a WordPress.com blog address.
Is there any way around this for those who don’t want their own blog?
What does having that wordpress.com URL do if they don’t use it and just contribute to the group blog? The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi Michael – Nope, they can create a username-only account with no blog. The direct link to that sign up is here:
https://en.wordpress.com/signup/?user=1Then you can add them all to your blog in this way:
