  Dear WordPress.com employee,

  I have six websites hosted at WordPress.com and would like your help in gathering
  some information. My websites:

  supersundaysmoothie.wordpress.com
  oleyabeautyandhealth.wordpress.com
  lovebusinessturkey.wordpress.com
  heartbodyandsoul.wordpress.com
  eatprayyoga.wordpress.com
  aysimdeveci.wordpress.com

  For all these websites I have registered domain names and I would like to connect
  them to their corresponding website at wordpress.com. Could you please inform me
  about the DNS records I need to make on my domain names to connect them to the
  website at WordPress.com?

  After I made the DNS changes and the domains point to the websites I would like to
  export my WordPress websites. I have an own server and would like to host the
  websites on this server. What is the easiest way to make a full export of my
  websites? Can you do this for me?

  Since you want to host the sites yourself it is probably not worth paying for the domain mapping service.

  You need to use this for WorPress.com blogs. Just setting a DNS A record is not an option because WordPress.com distributes the blogs on a dynamic farm of servers, which can change due to load balancing, maintenance, or failure. The only way to keep up with the changing addresses is to use WordPress.com’s name servers.

  Exporting WordPress blogs is described here. Don’t bring down your original blog before all images are imported into the new one as the import process copies the images from the original blog – they are not in the export file.
