    Hi. I logged in to my site this morning and clicked ‘Add New Post’ to put a new post on my blog but once I did, the screen stayed blank. I did this about six times, turning my computer off and on several times, but the same thing happened every time. If it makes a difference, I changed the email address of the site from a former administrator to myself ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) earlier this morning. Please help me post my blog. Thanks, Dave Tevelin

    I do not see any sites under your @tev214 WordPress.com account when I check on our end. You can confirm by visiting this page: https://wordpress.com/sites.

    Is it possible you created your site under a different login with us or are using another provider like GoDaddy, Bluehost, Hostgator, etc. instead? What is the URL of the site you are needing help with?

    Happy to check in our system so we can take a closer look.

    Hi, Jerry. I think you’re onto something. The administrator who set up the site for me was William Letteri, whose email address was (email visible only to moderators and staff). He’s been long gone so I changed the administrator to my email address a few days ago. I haven’t posted a blog for over a year but I’m going to be teaching two writing workshops in February and March that I want to promote on the website soon. Anything you could do to make that happen would be greatly appreciated.

    Can you tell us the URL of the site you’re trying to work on?

    The email address you provided is not currently and has not recently been associated with any site hosted with us on WordPress.com, so I’m afraid that doesn’t give us anything to work with here.

    This site is not hosted with us on WordPress.com, but using the open source WordPress software at another hosting provider. This is a bit different to a site hosted on WordPress.com. You can read about these differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

    This site is hosted with Siteground, which means we are unable to assist.

    With regards to the blank screen, you would need to reach out to the theme developer for help with that. It may be that it’s as simple as needing an update, but they would be best placed to confirm that.
