For some my latest post was not shared to facebook

  My last post was made 4 hours ago and has not shown up facebook. Is there a current problem with the servers? I’ve not changed any settings, is there something new I don’t know about.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Hi there,

  I checked and there are no issues with the servers or other errors, but I did see that Facebook wasn’t selected as a Publicize option for your most recent post. Can you please try disconnecting and reconnecting to Facebook in your site’s sharing settings?

  If there was an issue with the connection to Facebook, that will clear it up so your next post gets publicized there as it’s supposed to. Please let me know if you have any questions about that. :)

  Thank you for the quick reply but the problem was not resolved. I failed to mentioned in my original request for help that the WP post did not show up on Google+, Twitter, or Linkedin as well as facebook. Looking at the individual posts all of these networks are checked.

  I went through all of the steps in your email (reconnecting to facebook) and did a test post. On the right hand column under “Sharing” once again all boxes are checked. The post did not show up anywhere.

  I did not reply to your earlier as I was waiting to hear back from my web designer who is building a WP website at the same cookingwithvinny.com url. Is it possible that what they are doing at their end is effecting the current posts I’m making? I figure I’ll wait until the new site is live and my old blog is transferred to the new WP site before I go into full panic mode.

  Well, that’s very odd! I checked again and there aren’t any errors from any of those services to explain the problem — I’ve reported this to our team so they can investigate the issue further.

  The work your web designer is doing won’t interfere with what’s happening on your WordPress.com site, but if you’re switching to a new site soon you might want to hold off and see if things settle down once you’ve made the switch. If the problem continues on your new site, we can certainly continue investigate it for you!

  Thanks Rachel. Was thinking the same thing. New site should be up in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime if I make any additional blog posts I’ll paste the short link manually into facebook, linkedin to direct people to the post.

  Sounds great! Do let me know how it goes once your new site is up — I can add that information to the report I made about this issue, which should help us track down what’s going on. (But hopefully it’ll sort itself out once your new site is up!)
