Why have I lost the ability to link to websites?

The link box is grayed out and won’t let me make the connection. Also, and this might be related, every time I save my drafts, the writing flashes up for a few seconds in html format (different font and with the editing symbols) rather than straight text.
Can you help get me back on track?

The link icon will stay grayed out unless you have highlighted some text. Did you make sure to highlight text before clicking the icon?
Can you please try clearing your browser cache and cookies and let me know if that fixes the other editing problem for you?

Silly oversight on the link, designsimply. Thanks. But I’m still getting the html version (for a few seconds) after updating — even after clearing the cookies and cache.
Any other suggestions? It’s not a big deal, just weird.
