For Theme Bugs

On the forums some people have been to suggesting to contact the theme authors if you need support with the theme or want something changed.

This isn’t really that great an idea, because the people who wrote the themes have no control over how we implement them here on WordPress.com. A better way to get things fixed is to use the feedback form to let us know about the problem.

Thanks Matt. I’ve got a few reports on Andreas04, which isn’t even my own theme – only based on my design. I’m glad to see that you take the theme handling seriously, it is very encouraging for us designers!

Where would be the best place to suggest new themes? Forum or feedback?

Green Marinée 1.0 has been updated, and so have a number of other themes.

But no-one does anything about it.

Arai, we do update themes, and once you know via the contact form it’ll be filed.

Andreas, go ahead and use the contact form for bugs, and the forums for new theme suggestions. Be sure to tag the thread with “themes”.

I have a problem with the Ocadia theme. It is a lovely theme but the date format is not applied (it uses US format).

It would be great if it took the date setting from the theme prefs.

Who should I ask about this?

I believe Matt states the correct procedure within the first post of this thread.
