Force Excerpt to show up as the Search Engine Summary and in Email Subscriptions

Hello Forum,
I have a unique situation that most of my posts are actually polls, so the content does not show up as a summary. I’m trying to force search summaries and the summary that shows up when you subscribe to to the blog or subscribe to comments to be what I have written in the excerpt. Is there a way to do this? I’m using black letter-head theme.

Forcing the search engines to do anything is, well…. impossible. They do as they wish.
As far as forcing the emails subscriptions to have your excerpt, I don’t know if that is possible and is something you would have to ask staff directly on at http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ .
