Forced Scrolling to keep Old Stats Page
-
I am furious. It was bad enough to have the new stats page foisted on us … with NO way to turn it off. Now to retrieve the original stats format you have to SCROLL down to find it at the bottom of the new one. The main problem with that new formatting was the excessive scrolling. Now we’re being FORCED to scroll just to keep the format we prefer.
“Happiness Engineers” ????????? You have to be joking. This is a forced exercise in frustration.
Please give us the option to choose permanently the Old Version.

I knew there was some frustration but nothing like this. And I note that the administrators have “closed the topic” on a couple of them. Talk about censorship.

Yes, there has been a lot of disappointment with the “new” changes not only of the Stats page. The links above are still open to comments but you are right some have been closed down. It is very unfortunate that WP disrespects its customers (bloggers) with their forced changes, and the shutting down conversation in the Forums.
The navigation problems have always existed but are much worse now to the point of many bloggers having to ask how to log out now, or where to find the “classic” dashboard/administrative pages.

The new stats page is unhelpful.
I want a quick overview- which is why the better “old” stats page worked so well.
I don’t want to scroll down for information if I can have it in one glance. Why on earth would you want to force people to scroll down anyway?
They “love positive and productive” discussions.
Postive: the stats page was great. Quick overview is awesome.
Productive: the changed stats page is
– unhelpful and serves no purpose as far as I can see.
– No logic to it.
– And you can’t even drag the information you want most to the top. -
By making you go to the “new” stats page then scroll down – that keeps the page views of the new useless stats page up and covers up how bad the new page really is – great waste of probably hundreds of thousands of dollars

auxclass, yes, and it’s the same with the “new, too-blue” editor every time we clear our cookies we have to launch the new one only to click to use the “classic” editor.
It’s important that we bookmark the admin. pages that we use.
The 2 older Stats pages: one with the map, https://wordpress.com/my-stats and the “classic” Stats page with our own color scheme: https://yourblogname.wordpress.com/wp-admin/index.php?page=stats (insert your blog’s name before wordpress.com in the link).

Oh my – yet another thread on this issue! I’m tagging this thread for Staff to close some open threads on this issue to avoid confusion and duplication. Then we can all focus on posting into only one thread for feedback on the new stats page.

I’m closing this so we keep all the stats conversation in the same place. If you have new information, questions or concerns, please do share them in the thread referenced earlier.
