Forced uppercase in title (Ryu theme)
-
I created a blog with the Ryu theme, but it automatically changes the title of my blog to all-caps. This is unacceptable to me, is there any way to disable this function or will I need to find another theme? If so, any recommendations for a simple blog-type theme that doesn’t force uppercase?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

(It does the same with the author name under posts. No idea why people design like this, but hopefully there’s a theme that doesn’t push its designers’ awful decisions on all its users.)

Hi there!
If the all-caps title is part of a theme design, it can only be modified by using custom CSS code, which is supported with the WordPress.com Premium plan and higher.

Were you seeing even the main blog post title in all caps on your site?
I see that you’ve already changed the theme on your site to Penscratch 2. If you’re happy with that, you’re all set! But if you’d like to use Ryu and you were seeing all caps on the blog post title area, you can reactivate the Ryu theme on your site and we’ll be happy to take a look.
