opps… that should be: The traditional “
” does not work.
So that code seems to work fine in a forum post, just not a post Title??? Go Figure? -

Is there a way to force blank spaces?
If I can do that, I can basically get the “break” where I want too.
using  repeatedly also doesn’t work here? -

@merlyn9: There are several ways of effecting line breaks with html apart from the “br” tag (including the “p” tag as well as codes for tables or lists); but NO code that includes bracketed tags will work in a post title, so you’re right that you’re only left with the code for spaces (the only one that won’t get stripped out). I tried it, and a long bunch of these (with spaces before, after and inbetween) will give you the desired result – IN FIREFOX; it’s not stable in Safari (second line will change positioning if you zoom in or out), and I’m not using Explorer so I don’t know what happens with it (don’t even want to know!).

@panaghiotisadam: Unfortunatlely, stinging out the aforementioned “space” code gets replaced with
&nbsp &nbsp &nbsp &nbspand then that space code is actually spelled out in the title when displayed. There has to be some other way to put in for spaces, Heck, I can bold the text, I can italicize the text… why can’t I do something simple??? Arg! -
Sorry, I told you: it won’t behave like that if you add a SPACE INBETWEEN each repetition.
-
@panaghiotisadam: Ah ha!
OK… So instead of trying this:     If I also ass the semi-colon behind each as such: This WILL workThanks You Very Very Much!

Um, no where in this thread is there a link to a wordpress.COM blog. So does any of this apply to wordpress.COM blogs?
-
@vivianpaige: Sure just figured if anyone wanted to view anything I was trying to make work… they would simply go visit my blog pages…
merlyn9.wordpress.com
The Birthday (most Recent) and “New Toys from Canon” posts are those pages where I have now used this solution!
Thanks for asking.

The blog in your username is NOT a wordpress.COM blog, which is why I asked the question. Perhaps you should change it over.
-
@vivianpaige: Well upon investigating that…. It is the Fault of the WordPress Profile Page design! The question says “Website” So naturally, that was the address I had put in there when I first set-up my profile many moons ago. It had previously asked the address of my Primary Blog.
Do Not shoot the messenger…
