Forcing Facebook thumbnail
-
When you share a wordpress link, the Facebook engine parse your article to find some image but you can’t predict which one will be used
However, there’s a possibility to force a thumbnail by using some metadata tag (sorry guys, the article is in french but you’ll see the code easily)
http://ai13.fr/probleme-vignette-miniature-liens-partages-facebook/Probleme is that WordPress doesn’t allow to modify those tags which are “outside” the body of the page
Is there any location where one can suggest some future enhancements for wordpress to include this ?
Thanks

Hi there. The advice in that article applies to the self-hosted WordPress.org software, and has no relevance to WordPress.com where your blog is hosted.
See here for the correct information how this works on WordPress.com: https://en.support.wordpress.com/facebook-image-thumbnail/
We cannot add any meta-tags to images on WordPress.com.
