Forever Theme

I have the forever theme, however my website does not look like the example forever theme. I cant seem to get rid of the sidebar or the date I set up the website. these features were not on the theme example. I would like to have a no scroll side show just like in the example. Please help!

Also if I click on the “activate button” will my work be deleted? I would like my pictures to display like the example.

Hi Chloe,
So in order to create the slideshow you must have the post contain a Featured Image and also label it as a sticky post.
As for removing the sidebar, what you can do is insert an empty Text Widget. It will look like this:
As seen in the demo, the sidebar is still there:
Please note that this does not allow you to blog in the sidebar. You would need to purchase the Custom Design upgrade to edit CSS in order to do that. Note, that with the upgrade, you can also apply custom fonts/colors as well. If you decide to do that, and need help with the code, you can do that by posting your request here:

As for removing the posted date, you will need to edit the CSS as well.

Activate button? I’m not quite sure which button this is as the Forever theme has already been applied. Let me know!

thank you! its almost there, can you have a number of featured images? on the theme example the featured image is a slide show. I know that the forever theme supports this but I don’t know how to do it.

Yes. Please go to the theme’s support page as mentioned before:

There it will state to set a Featured Image (you can have up to 10) that is at least 888 pixels wide. Then set it as a sticky post.

Hi, I have followed the instructions but now I am left with one featured image (it will not allow me to select more than one, even when I press the Shift and Ctrl keys) and when you click on the featured image the other images appear. I need to have at least 5 featured images in a slide show. Please help!

Hi there,
This is because you only have one Sticky Post; therefore you have only one featured image in the slideshow. Create more sticky posts with featured images and they will show up in the slideshow.

The page only shows you how to create one sticky post do I need to create another page with a sticky post?

It would be the same exact steps to create another one. Yes, create another post and mark it as sticky. Do the same steps for as many featured images you want in your slideshow.
