Forever Theme – Content and Sticky Images on Front Page
-
In the Forever Theme, under Customize – Front, the Front Page and Posts Page are not allowed to be the same. As a result my front page content goes to one and my Image slider to a different page without content! How do I get my Front Page to show both the content and the slider? (In my case the 2 pages are Home and Overview).
I am really stuck and greatly appreciate any help. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The slider on Forever shows on the main posts page. You can’t make it show on a static page. The only way to make the front display both the slider and the intro content is to set the front to display your latest posts, publish the intro as a post, not a static page, and mark that post as a sticky with no featured image.
If you don’t like that, you can opt for slider on the blog front, title your intro “About”, and let visitors read it when they click the menu link (as is the case with “About Us”).
Or you could switch to a different theme. The only themes that allow slider plus some static content (other than a post) on the blog front are Modularity Lite, Skylark and Twenty Eleven.By the way, your “different page” isn’t “without content”: it’s your main posts page, and your content is in the slider. The posts slider is supposed to showcase some important posts, with the rest of your posts showing below the slider. You don’t have to put all your posts in the slider.

justpi,
I can’t thank you enough. With the framework you gave me, it all makes so much sense now, and, as a bonus, it works! I am greatly in your debt.
Thank you. -
