Forever Theme Feature Slider & Most Recent Posts Problem

Hi,
I’ve been struggling with this theme. When I add a new post with a featured and sticky image it does not show up in both the feature slider and four newest post at the bottom. It’s one or the other. Also, I noticed that when in the feature slider, the excerpt colors vary, they are not consistent for each image and excerpt.

This is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with your site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM.WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins and also run some different versions of themes with the same names http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/ Note: Forever is a WordPress.com theme adapted form the WordPress.ORG Colorway theme.
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

I think the first thing you described is how the theme is intended to work. The Forever demo site at http://foreverdemo.wordpress.com/ does what you described where posts are either in the slider or the Posts in Columns, but not in both.
In the feature slider, the backgrounds for the post titles have a black background with transparency. That means some of the colors from the images by the titles may show through. That is also by design.
