Forever theme, four latest posts . . .

    Trying to get the page to look like the featured “Forever” theme with the four latest posts in a neat grid on my homepage. I followed the directions, saved, no results. I do have featured images on my posts. I can’t seem to remove the existing layout search, archives, date, Meta, register, Login on the right side of the page. Any ideas to help? the page is jacqueandmarsha.wordpress.com Thank you so much!
