Forever Theme : Post Slider

The Post Slider (Forever Theme) doesn’t seem to work properly. Three posts are showing up in the slider because I marked them as sticky and because they have featured images the proper size. But I just published a post and again, I marked it as sticky and it features a featured image, but it won’t show up in the post slider. I then unmarked two of the posts in the slider and made them ‘non-sticky’ and removed the featured images to see if my today’s post would show up in the slider instead.
Not only did the post NOT show up, but the two posts I’ve removed from the post slider didn’t show up anywhere on the blog, not even as ‘normal’ posts. They could only be found using the Dashboard – All Posts section.
So I again added these two posts to the post slider and they showed up again. However, today’s post (http://peoniesandlilies.wordpress.com/2014/10/15/think-pink-support-breast-cancer/ )STILL doesn’t show up in the slider.
Can anyone help me? Also, why didn’t these two removed posts from the slider show up as regular posts on the blog? I mean, I don’t want to display them forever there and want to constantly change the posts in the post slider, but I don’t want any posts disappearing from my blog.
Hopefully, someone can help me out as I really like this Theme and want it to work 100%.
And before anyone comments – yes, the featured images have the right size (as suggested here: http://theme.wordpress.com/themes/forever/ )
‘Featuring posts in a slider on your home page is easy. You just need sticky posts with Featured Images. Every sticky post you have (up to 10) that has a Featured Image (at least 888 pixels wide) attached will show up there. Easy!’ – apparently it’s not that easy.

I know, I can see it too now. Why it took a few hours I still don’t know, but I’m happy anyway that the problem is somehow solved. I say ‘somehow’ because it always takes a few hours for these sticky posts that have featured images to appear in the slider. I don’t know why. But as long as they appear eventually, I’m okay with it.

Hooray! This is resolved. That said it shouldn’t take any time lag at all for them to show up.
