Forgot to verify domain, now they don’t show on my account
-
So, several months ago I purchased some domains for a future business venture. I have the email proving they were purchased and everything, but I forgot to click the “verify” button in the email. I tried clicking it yesterday, the link has expired, and when I select to send a new email to verify, it errors out.
Tried the AI chat assistant yesterday for awhile, which ended up telling me I needed to email support. Which I did, and that in turn was just another AI response. I’m stuck in a loop, I need to talk to a real person or something to get this sorted out. How can I verify my contact information for these domains I purchased earlier this year? Thanks! -
Hi @devincrezee,
I understand how frustrating this must feel. When a domain isn’t verified within the required time, it can be suspended or even disappear from your dashboard until verification is completed. Since your purchase email confirms ownership, the domains should still be tied to your WordPress.com account but you’ll need staff intervention to resend a fresh verification link. Here’s what you can do:
Go to WordPress.com Contact Support while logged into the account you used for the purchase.
Choose My Domains → Domain Management → Email Verification to make sure your request routes to the domains team.
Include the domain names, your WordPress.com username, and a copy of the purchase confirmation email.
Unfortunately, this isn’t something community volunteers can fix only staff can resend/override the expired verification. Once you connect with them, they should be able to get your domains back into your account.

@mukeshoad that’s where I’m stuck – I need to be able to contact Staff, but it won’t let me contact stuff since the Domains don’t show up under my account. I’m stuck. I can’t create a site to upgrade to a paid plan to get paid assistance because my domains aren’t in my account.
I’m stuck in an endless loop. -
Thank you for taking the time to review my contributions and for your feedback. I also noticed you looked at my GitHub profile, I should clarify that I’m not very active there yet, I’m still learning how to use GitHub effectively.
Regarding pull requests and code improvements, I believe enhancements can come from both humans and AI. Using AI itself isn’t inherently wrong what matters is the correctness and usefulness of the contribution. Even within your team, I assume AI is leveraged in some way. Of course, the key point is to apply the right process and ensure quality.
I’ll continue to improve my approach and keep best practices in mind moving forward. Thanks again for the guidance.

Hi @devincrezee,
I checked the WordPress.com account you used to submit this forum post and couldn’t find any purchases connected to it. It’s possible that your domain is linked to another WordPress.com account.
To help us look into this further, could you please let us know the domain name you’re referring to?
Once we have that information, we’ll be glad to investigate it for you.
