  Tried to sign up, told name already in use.
  How can I found out whether it’s an account I forgot about or whether it is someone else?
  (Had to make this account just to ask!)

  Thanks. There does seem to be an empty blog with that subdomain. Or does WordPress automatically make a fake for an unrecognized subdomain?

  A quick test shows that wordpress does not fake unrecognised subdomans; http://jsahdjsahdjsa.wordpress.com gives:

  <strong>jsahdjsahdjsa.wordpress.com doesn’t exist</strong>
  Do you want to register jsahdjsahdjsa.wordpress.com?

  If you don’t recognise the blog it is probably someone else’s!

  Makes sense, thanks.

  Bummer that someone grabbed my perfect name and isn’t actually using it. Oh, well, I’ll live. :-)
