  Hey!
  I wanted to ask that do we get notified when someone fills the contact form? Today I randomly came across a form response which was sent to me few weeks ago. But I was not notified nor I recieved any email notification. Also I wanted to ask, if I wish to reply should I directly email the person who filled the form to get in touch?

  You will definitely get notified when someone fills in the contact form. By default, the messages will be sent to the same email address that you have set in your account settings. However, you may always change that email through the settings of the block. Instructions are below:

  You can also read all the messages sent through your form in your account by going to Feedback in the left sidebar of your site dashboard.

  Also I wanted to ask, if I wish to reply should I directly email the person who filled the form to get in touch?

  If you would like to reply back to a contact form submission, you will need to use your email to do so.

  I went through the instructions. It’s not a form block I used in the contact page. It’s actually a page layout I used while customizing my blog. I didn’t add a block for form. So, I don’t get any such options when I click on the block. I also want to ask that the person who filled the form is shown as an unverified user. What does that mean?

  Hi there,

  You are referring to the form on this page, yes? https://musersblissblog.wordpress.com/contact/

  By default, when a contact form is added to your site, the email that it sends notifications to is the same as the one you set here: https://wordpress.com/me/account/

  However, if you wish, you can click on the form block, and on the right, you will see a setting to change this default; you can set it to any email address you wish:

  Indeed! Thank you for the info. I checked the email address I provided and I didn’t get any notification there. That response was also shown in spam when I checked it on wordpress. Is that the reason I didn’t get an email notification?

  When a response is marked as spam, you don’t get a notification email. This is to prevent your email from being flooded with spam messages.
