Form Submission Quandry
-
I don’t understand how the form submissions on my site work. I receive WP email notifications informing me of form submissions but I am not receiving any email notifications or any emails with contact information.
I’ve done test myself and the form says the information has been sent but it’s going into the abyss. Where can I access my form submission information and where is it going?
WP.com: Yes
Jetpack: Yes
Correct account: YesThe blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there,
Happy to help you with this.
The form email, could be set in the page itself: https://productionmasterminds.com/contact/ and so this would be the first place to check.
I’d also recommend checking spam, as they could be ending up there.
This site isn’t hosted with WordPress.com so our support overall is limited in this instance, but if it were hosted with WordPress.com, where updates are run automatically, we’d be more than happy to help.
To explain, there’s two types of WordPress. The first is WordPress.com, where we provide daily backups, automatic updates, a 24/7 support service and an optimised version of WordPress. The second is self-hosted WordPress, where the free open source version of the software is installed onto a server.
More on the differences can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
It’s possible to migrate the site over to WordPress using our migration plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpcom-migration/ and the site would need to be on a WordPress.com Business plan
I hope this helps.

Thanks for the quick response. Can you provide me with a bit more information on what you mean by “The form email, could be set in the page itself: https://productionmasterminds.com/contact/ and so this would be the first place to check.” What do you mean by that? Where specifically in wordpress would I need to check?
Also, my spam appears to be clear of any emails. Lastly, since my site isn’t hosted through wordpress what do I need to do in order to rectify this situation? -
Hi there,
To clarify, we use a custom version of WordPress here on WordPress.com, one that includes a built in form creation tool, and does not require the addition of a plugin, such as the WPForms Lite plugin you are using on your site through Bluehost.
Because of this, our procedures for troubleshooting email delivery issues do not help in this case. Plugins are created by 3rd party developers that we’re not connected to, so we are not familiar with the WPForms Lite plugin and the system it uses for email deliver.
The good news is that help is available directly from the creators of your plugin here, and they will be in the best position to help you: https://wordpress.org/support/plugin/wpforms-lite/
Hope this helps point you in the right direction!
