Form Submission wonky when sending via e-mail

I have asked over a week ago about this issue and have not gotten a response. I use forms on my site for homework assignments, and my students’ grades depend on them submitting them.

At first, I was getting the forms to my e-mail like they should be. About 2 weeks ago, it stopped. I have not edited that form at all, so I’m not sure why it’s not sending to my email.

Now, I’m getting one or two that are coming through, but I have about 200 students that submit them, and I have to log in to WordPress to scan thru feedback submissions and can’t save them to my organized folders for “proof” for grading.

Parent/Teacher conferences are coming up next week, and I’d love to have all my data in one place, especially since I’m travelling during conferences.

    Thanks for any input.

I can see that you have several .doc files under “Forms”. That means that a visitor to your site can download the form, fill it out and email it to you, but once that form has been downloaded, it’s beyond the control of WordPress.com, as the user will need to send the form back via their own email account.

If you are using a contact form on your site, please post a link to the page where that form is being displayed, and I can look into it further for you.

Thanks for the links. I just sent you a test from one of the forms.

I just looked at the forms and they all appear to be sending emails to the same email address. Is it possible that your email software is sending these emails to spam or the trash?

I’m going to contact you via email at that address to confirm that address is working.

I saw your post under feedback, but that test form post did not get sent to my email…not in my junk or spam folders, either.

By any chance is your email running through Gmail? In Gmail they now have a “social” tab that catches WordPress.com emails.

If not, I’m not sure why emails would not be sent.

You might try creating a new contact form as a test, and use the same email address, to see if that works or not.

If your school has their own mail server instead, it could be that WordPress.com emails are being blocked by a firewall. You might also want to check with your IT staff.

Nope. should be ok. I have had 2 come through like normal, this past week, but the rest don’t.
Our client is Groupwise, and it should still work ok. They’re not going to spam or trash and shouldn’t be blocked.
I just don’t understand why it was working great for about 12 weeks and then all of a sudden stopped….

I’m sorry to hear you’re still having issues with this.

Have you tried creating a new contact form (even a test one on a test page) to see if that works for you or not?

For the emails that do come through, are they from the same contact form?
