Format changes for TheStyle

  I have four questions:
  1. Can I delete the date, change it to a date range, or just show a year?
  2. Can I drop the words “Posted by”?
  3. Can I change the order of the tiles?
  4. Can I change the words “Hours and Info” to Contact

  Hi there,

  You can change several of the items you are asking about. Some of them you can do yourself (I’ll tell you how), some you would need to purchase an upgrade called Custom Design which will allow you to modify the CSS of your theme. You could then make more major changes. Some changes just can’t be made, sadly.

  1) You cannot change to a date range, however you could remote the date or just show the year. That would require the CSS modification I mentioned.

  2) Again, removing the “Posted by” would require some CSS modification to your theme.

  3) To re-arrange the tiles, the best way would just to be creative with the posting date. To do so, edit each of your posts and change as little as the time of the post. As long as one post was done earlier than the other is will be displayed before another post. Once you’ve changed the date and time of a post on the right side of the screen, you can click update and the changes will be reflected on your home page.

  4) The “Hours and Info” can be changed by logging in to your Dashboard, going to Appearance >> Widgets and then editing the Footer widget to have the title which you’d like to have! :)
