Format issues
-
For the last few weeks, I have always attached <span style=”font-family: Calibri; color: #000000;”> to my text in my posts as this is the way I like the font to be presented.
Recently, I bought my own wordpress domain so now my blog is http://www.jessicaandlove.com
Ever since I have done this, I am having issues using the above HTML code. I plug it in like usual and then when I preview the post, the writing appears grey instead of black – it removes the colour:#000000; section and I cannot for the life of me work out why?! I have tried using different browsers and have not changed my theme for ages so it cannot be that…
Can somebody please help me! Could it be because I got my own domain? Did something change?Kind Regards,
Jessica
PS this is obvious in the most recent post, the writing is grey whereas every other post the writing is black. The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hey there, Jessica!
I took a look at your site’s history. It’s likely the change of color occurred with the adjustment to the McKinley theme. Notice that the theme’s demo displays gray text, rather than black:

When I view the html of the most current post, I do not see color: #000000;” within your brackets. You do have to add this in order to adjust the text to black.
If you wanted to systematically adjust all the font color to black, you could do so with the Custom Design upgrade. I’m not trying to sell you on an upgrade, but just wanted you to know there is a way to make a single change to your code, and not have to add html line-by-line in each post you create. If you’re interested at all, take a look:

Hey there!
Thank you for your response.
I have actually had the theme set as McKinley now for a few weeks and it had been working fine when I plugged in the color:#000000 section into code but for some reason JUST this last post, the colour wont change. I keep putting in the code and then when i click visual and then back into ‘text’ section the code for font style and size is still there but the color:#000000 has just disappeared? It is very odd and driving me absolutely insane! Do you have any other suggestions or ideas why this may have happened?
Thanks Jess

Hiya Jess,
I’m not entirely sure what caused the changes…but take a look at the adjustments I made to the first two sections of your latest post. You can see in the HTML code how I added color: black inside your brackets, and the font has changed accordingly. You can do the same throughout the remainder of your post if you’d like, or delete the adjustments I made.
Please let me know if that process works for you. Many thanks!

Thank you very much! Yes that seems to have worked perfectly! I have done that with the rest of the post now. I will just do that from now on.
Thank you again for all your help!
