Format issues with gallery display

  On my site, the photos are overlapping and not showing the full caption and image on the left side. This is happening on Web and Mobile.

  I would also love to remove the space that is darker purple after my beginning section. I am a beginner with WordPress and also looking for easy tutorials to learn the basics of web design.
