format of blog posts

The theme is Snaps (if I am not mistaken). I was curious if there was a way to make it so that blog posts show up as a link with the title name, maybe a short excerpt and maybe a preview image. Then when you click it it, it takes you to a gallery (if there are multiple photos) and the entire post itself. I am not super website savy (so not super good with code). Any response is appreciated (even if this is not possible).

Such a layout on Snaps would require CSS customization which would require a Premium or higher level plan.

I browsed through the theme gallery and found Illustratr, the demo site seems to be what you’re describing; you’ll even be able to add a Featured Image to display statically at the top of the home page just like you do now, but the title won’t overlay onto it.

You can achieve that effect in Snaps by adding the More tag wherever you want each post to break.

@kathrynwp the more tag totally worked. The other thing I was doing incorrect was changing the type of post. I assumed that changing it to a gallery if there were many photos would format it in the way I was talking about. I changed it back to standard (along with the more tag) and it is exactly how I want it. Thank you!
