Format of MX "subdomain" in custom DNS records

    Hi,

    I’m setting up email for my wordpress.com website. I previously bought web domain mapping, and now I’m adding custom DNS records as explained here: http://en.support.wordpress.com/domains/add-email/add-other-email/

    However, my email provider asks to specify subdomain for MX, and I don’t know how to do that. (I’ve already created an A record with the relevant subdomain pointing to the correct IP, no problem. ) These are the instructions they provided:

    Subdomain: BLANK
    Mailserver: mail.[domainname.com]
    priority: 10
    —————
    Subdomain: *
    Mailserver: mail.[domainname.com]
    Priority: 10

    How do I specify the subdomain? Thanks
