Format Portfolio Page

In the theme preview, it showed the portfolio page as a grid of pictures. Now that I’m trying to set up my portfolio page, it seems to be forcing me to put in words before the grid of portfolio pictures…please help!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi,
I don’t find any published projects on the site https://royalexposure.wordpress.com/.
The Snaps theme guide says:
By default, the homepage will display your latest posts in a traditional blog format. To get the most out of this theme, you first need to create some portfolio projects. Then, to display those projects on the homepage (as shown in the theme demo), follow these steps:
- Create a new page to serve as the homepage
- Assign the Portfolio Page Template from the Page Attributes section
- Publish your page
- Go to Customizer→ Static Front Page, and choose the new page as your site’s static „Front page”
When the front page is static page with the portfolio page template assigned, on the Snaps theme, the theme will display the published projects in a grid, each item in the grid represented by the featured image assigned to that project and the project title. See the Featured Images section of the Snaps theme guide, and the Featured Images support page.

Please explain what you mean by this. Where do you feel forced to put in words?

The link on the words “create some portfolio projects” in the quoted passage above goes to the Portfolios support page, which provides instructions on how to create, manage, view, display, etc. portfolio projects.
