Format Problems….

    Hello All!

On Monday I went to my Blog and discovered that the format had become screwed up over the weekend and now all of my sidebar items had moved to the bottom of my screen. When I tried to upload photos, the image editor was not working either. I tried to visit some of my favorite wordpress blogs to see if it was just my blog acting up….and I see that all of my favorites are also showing with the sidebar information at the bottom of the screen instead of where it belongs. I assumed it was a WordPress glitch of some kind and that perhaps it would be resolved.

Sure enough, later in the day when I went to WordPress, all of the screens were showing correctly…the photo editor was working and I was able to update my blog with new posts.

However, Tuesday and now today I am seeing the same mixed-up formatting on the WordPress site. I did not touch any of my CSS….either before the mix up or after. I also tried clearing my cache…but no change.

So…is it me? Or is it WordPress? horseworks.wordpress.com

    Thanks for any help….

    Hmmm…

After further “playing around”….I can get my blog to load correctly by adding the blog address to my computer’s “Trusted Sites” list in my computer’s security settings. The other blogs on WordPress continue to load improperly and I get a messsage saying the security certificates are invalid.

    ?????

It is easier for us to help you if you provide the URL of your blog so we can take a look.

If you do a search, you’ll find the security certificate issue has been reported by many, many people. Contact staff via the Support button during office hours and let them know the problems that the issue has caused for you, in detail.

    Thanks….

I included the address of my blog in my first post….here it is again:

Sorry, I missed it scanning. It’s easier if you put it in linkable format, like you just did, or link it to your name on your Profile page under Website. Have you sent a Support ticket to staff yet?

    Yes, I contacted Support yesterday….

Their initial response was to try clearing my cache, clearing cookies and forcing a Refresh.

I responded back to them that these did not work….so I am waiting to see if they come up with anything else.

It appears that a whole bunch of WordPress users experienced the same trouble as of the same time (early Monday morning)…the site simply became impossible to use. I think that this must be lingering trouble from the Security Certificate issue….

Please let me know if you have any solutions….

    Thanks!

They reported the security certificate issue, but this is the only consequence I’ve heard from the issue. That’s why I encourage you to report it. If other people also report it, then it will become a priority.
