Formatting?

Hey! So, my site is for my poetry. When I post the poem –BEFORE publishing–it’s all left aligned as I want it to be.
When I go to look at it on the actual site, however, the title of the poem appears and beneath it, the beginning text of the poem is shown as if it’s PROSE, like a paragraph. The preview doesn’t feature the spacing I’ve established. When i CLICK on the poem title, however, it DOES comes up showing my spacing. I’m not sure how to fix this.

Hi there, the main posts listing that is shown on your main page, shows an excerpt from the posts, and any special formatting is stripped out for the excerpt.
On option would be to set the blog page to show the full posts instead of excerpts. You would do that at Appearance > Customize > Content options. Screenshot: https://d.pr/i/TDP9yn
Another Option would be to make the setting change I mentioned above, and then use the More Block within your posts, where you want them to be broken.
If you are versed in writing HTML, you could also leave the content options set to show excerpts in the Customizer, and then write and create Custom Excerpts for each post. Those would then replace the automatically generated excerpt and maintain the styling you entered via the custom excerpt.
