formatting a blog
-
My blog posts appear on my home page, not my blog page. How can I fix that? For one of my blogs it says ‘This is the excerpt for a placeholder post. It can be deleted or edited to make it your own.… More’ beneath the title. No matter what I do, I can’t edit it away.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

This sounds like something I could help you with. You need to change your posts page to be ‘blog’.
There is some documentation on how to do this using the Customizer here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/front-page/ (scroll down to ‘Optional – Create a blog page’).
You can find your Customizer here: https://rapositivespin.wordpress.com/wp-admin/customize.php
Let me know how you get on.

I am sorry, but I don’t understand your advice. I already have a blog page. I am just frustrated that my blogs are showing up on my home page, but not my blog page. All I plan to do is blog. I am not sure I even want a home page.

I will try to explain a little better.
You have already created a page called Blog on your site. WordPress now needs to be told to display your posts on the Blog page (instead of the Home page).
So by going to the Customize section and changing your ‘Posts page’ to Blog, you are telling WordPress to display the posts on this page. At the moment the ‘Posts page’ is probably set to Home — which is why they are displaying there instead.
I have done this on my own WordPress blog, you can see how it will work here: https://gemmagarner.wordpress.com/.
You can see the settings I used in this screenshot: https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3019972/Screen%20Shot%202016-07-26%20at%2014.16.13.png
