Formatting changes in Edit mode not retained when Update clicked

  In WordPress Com Edit mode, when I change the formatting of my text — e.g. indent or center text — and then click on the Update key, none of the changes are retained in the Edit mode. Nor do the changes appear on my blog.

  I have tried to make changes using three browsers — Chrome, Firefox, and Edge — and on two computers, a desktop and laptop, both running Windows 10, but the problem remains. Editing changes are not retained.

  I always prepare my text in MS Word and then copy my completed document to WordPress where I make final changes to the formatting, add media, and hyperlinks, etc.

  WordPress editing update worked fine this morning, The problem began late this afternoon.

  As far as I know, I made no changes to my computer hardware or software. And I have never had this problem before.

  Appreciate help to solve this mystery.

  This problem appears to have resolved itself, but I’m not quite sure why. But here is what I did. I trashed the post that was not retaining the editing changes.

  Then I copied my original MS Word document and pasted it in Add New Copy of my WordPress Com edit page.

  I made a couple of formatting changes — indented one paragraph and centered another. Then I hit the Preview box and the formatting changes had been retained. Looks promising.

  Then I hit the Update box and again the formatting changes had been retained in my blog view. I completed all my formatting changes and Updated the post.

  Success.
