Formatting custom header image
-
I’m aiming to ditch my old header image and replace it with a new one. The thing is, I don’t want the standard long and skinny crop. The image I’d like to use is more or less square, and I’d like to just repeat it, with one copy of the image next to another copy until the space is filled out. I’d like to think this is possible, but I’m obviously a graphics novice, and I don’t know whether it’s possible to create the kind of header I’m describing within WordPress or if I’ll have to use photo editing software and just upload the image I have in mind once I create it elsewhere. Thanks!

Ultimately, the header you upload has to be the correct size indicated for your theme, but you can give the illusion of the header being squarish by using the same color background as the posting area.
