Formatting Error with Internet Explorer (v11 & v9)
-
Our blog is not displaying properly in Internet Explorer. It shows un-formatted text with “x” for images. This is occurring with IE11 and IE9 on different computers. Clearing the cache did not fix it. We are using the Ari theme and a few widgets, but have not altered any code (that I’m aware of).
What else can I try to fix how the blog displays in IE?

Hi!
Could you take a screenshot of how your site is displaying in IE on your side? I just gave this a test in IE11, and it’s appearing fine in a browser simulator on my side:
A screenshot would be really helpful! Instructions can be found here:

Sure. https://henneberyeddy.files.wordpress.com/2015/02/blog-screenshot_021815.jpg
This is what it looks like on my browser (IE9) as well as a coworker’s browser (IE11). I had someone else view our blog from their home computer, and like, you it worked with IE11. Is it possible this is only an issue with our office network?
-
It seems like it is a network-specific issue. Namely, it seems like your network might be blocking the stylesheet for the theme. Can you let me know if this site looks weird also?

I couldn’t load the page in IE, but the error message suggested checking browser security settings. I checked the boxes next for SSL and TLS under Internet Options–>Advanced.
With that enabled both my blog and https://aridemo.wordpress.com/ are displaying correctly.

Awesome! I’m glad you were able to get this to work. I’ll file that away for future knowledge in case I run into this again. Please let me know if you need anything else!
