Formatting issues after embedding VodPod video
-
Can someone help me figure out what happened to the formatting on my blog? Pretty please? ;) I used VodPod to embed a video on a blog entry today and now my first page has the right hand column waaaaaaaaaay at the bottom of the page, with tons of empty space in between today’s posting and everything else. It only appears to happen on the first page and not the others. I did go back into editing for the blog entry to see if anything ran over the boundaries, but all seems fine. Am I being completely dense and missing something obvious? (Wouldn’t be the first time!) Thanks for ANY help anyone can give me.

Take a look at this FAQ http://faq.wordpress.com/2008/05/30/why-is-my-sidebar-at-the-bottom-of-my-posts/

Thanks for that link, but I’m afraid it still doesn’t solve the situation. I had already assumed the issues were related to today’s blog entry I did, so checked the width of things on it and they were all fine. And it’s only happening SINCE the new entry and not on other pages, so it HAS to have something to do with embedding the VodPod video. The link you posted said that sometimes there are extra formatting codes that don’t need to be in there, but I have no clue what COULD be removed from the VodPod code without making the video not appear. Any ideas? Thanks.

The video is ok: it’s 425px wide while the maximum allowed in goodbud’s theme is 500. The culprit is this line of code AFTER the video:
<div style="font-size:10px;">

Thank you, thank you, thank you, everyone! Panaghiotisadam, I went to edit the post and didn’t see the code you mentioned in either the visual OR html options, so just placed my cursor at the end of the video and hit delete for a bit. Must have been some crappy code which was invisible to me, but it’s gone after doing the deleting of it, so I’m a happy camper.
Again, thanks to all of you for trying to help me out…and succeeding!
