Formatting issues when importing blog from Squarespace

    Hi all. I have a Squarespace site but I prefer WP for blogging so I’m importing my blog content to wp.com. My first blog was on wp.com and my website was later on wp.org before I moved to SS.

    The import was generally fine but there were large gaps below a lot of the images in the posts. E.g. one image had a gap around the same height as the image, before the caption text of the image.

    Also, external links had been removed. I saw someone recommend a plugin for importing content (and I’m happy to reimport) but it required an upgrade and I don’t want to pay for WP upgrade until I’m happy with the whole setup.

    Any ideas how I can fix this?
