formatting issues with Ascetica theme

The blog page on my site isn’t allowing the posts to format correctly (see http://www.motorcyclemommablog.wordpress.com vs. the way it should look http://motorcyclemommablog.wordpress.com/2012/12/01/welcome/)
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Did you copy and paste the content into http://motorcyclemommablog.wordpress.com/2012/12/01/welcome/

The first time it was typed into the wordpress post by hand, all subsequent times it was pasted from a word document, but it does not format correctly on the main blog page either way. When you look at the individual posts via the archives, it looks perfect, but not so on the actual blog.

That’s the way things work on all themes that automatically display the beginning of each post (instead of full posts) on the main page: all HTML is stripped out, so no paragraph or line breaks, no bold or italics, no links, no images etc. If you want to control the appearance of the excerpts on the main page, you need to create your own custom excerpts in the Excerpt module of the post editor.
By the way, never copypaste from Word into the Visual editor: it introduces wrong code that messes things up. If you paste, paste into the Text editor, then switch back to Visual for formatting when necessary.
