Formatting of Quotations Question

  Hi

  I want to post quotations that are indented while preserving any italics in the original. I can prepare posts in Word or Livewriter, but either way it seems impossible to include quotes without losing all the formatting. This is quite a serious problem, and it prevents me from posting some material.

  Is there a solution?

  Word is not web-compatible, and the formatting will be stripped out, as you have seen.

  I suggest that you compose in the Write Post window itself.

  Thanks for the advice. But that would be a nightmare. I’m reposting long essays that have sometimes been carefully formatted for publication. The ‘write post’ window is okay for short posts, but hopeless otherwise. A long text becomes more or less unreadable.

  I fear there is no solution for this one. I have a trick for indenting quotations without it all turning into italics, but it means losing any original italics.
