Formatting quotations and their authors

When formatting quotations I save the changes but they don’t show up properly when I Preview them. For instance, I want the quotation to be indented and italicized. And I want the author’s name to be right-justified under the quote but not italicized. I use the quotation mark tool and the indent tool to accomplish this, but more often than not, upon Preview the changes don’t hold. The biggest problem has been the author’s name. I can get the quotation indented and italicized, but no matter what I do, the author’s name doesn’t stay where I put it and it wants to remain italicized.
