Former staff member took wordpress account data

Hi there,
one of our former staff members took away (changed wordpress password, changed email password) our account (blog) from suppranking.com
We’d be very glad to get our site back but have no clue how as the former staff member had basically access to all needed areas and changed as many passwords as he could.
He is now claiming that the page is his, even though he worked the hole time for our company.
Let us know what we could do to solve the problem.

We still got full FTP access.
We could change the password via emergency.php script if though the admin username would be “suppranking” as the former staff member told us and of course the script is working.Best regards

You must not be talking about wordpress.com, since there is no FTP access here.
You may be talking about wordpress.org or some other self hosted site. If I were you though, I’d be seeking legal counsel and possibly going to court.

If you have FTP access then as noted above you are in the wrong forum – but I do have some good news – with FTP access you can reset your WordPress.ORG installed software passwords – a bit messy but it can be done – make friends over at WordPress.ORG for the how to
