forms
-
successfully created forms but need direction on how to ensure that when a site visitor completes the form and submits that it will go to our email address.
-
There are code restrictions https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/ on wordpress.COM hosted blogs and that means we cannot post form codes. https://en.support.wordpress.com/code/#html-tags The only form code we can use is this one https://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/
More important is the fact that you did not provide the URL of your site and we cannot provide accurate answers to any questions until you do that and we determine exactly where it is hosted, so please post it now.

Hi newcovenantwebsiteministry,
If you changed nothing in the email notification section, then by default it will be sent to the email address of the user who created the form.
If you edit the email notification section, then it will be sent to the email address that you write in the “Enter your email address” area.
Go to the form on your site and test it. Just send yourself a message.
Hope this helps!

As you failed to provide the URL of the site I suspect it is not hosted by wordpress.COM and we do not provide support for sites we do not host, and our support docs do not apply to any sites that are not hosted here. Are you keenly aware of the differences between wordpress.COM hosted blogs that we provide support for here and wordpress.ORG software installs that we do not provide support for at wordpress.COM?
WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you are referring to site that is not hosted by wordpress.COM then you are posting support forum. In that case, if you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.

Thank you – I just checked and it is .org. We will go back to the Hosting Company for assistance. Thanks again for the quick response.

That’s exactly what I suspected. You can post forms in wordpress.ORG installs. Those sites are free standing and do not have the code restrictions that our wordpress.COM sites on this multi-user blogging platform have.

Hi again,
That’s not a site hosted by wordpress.com. Our support docs do not apply to it. We do not provide support for it. You are posting to the wrong support forum.WordPress.COM and WordPress.ORG are completely separate and have different username accounts, logins, features, run different versions of some themes with the same names, and have separate support documentation and separate support forums. Read the differences here http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG account, then click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, https://wordpress.org/support/register.php so you can post to the support forums there.
