Forum option on WordPress.com?

  Dear all,

  This forum should allow visitors to find previously asked topics by other visitors and allow them to add their own questions.

  – How would you implement a forum option on a WordPress.com blog?
  – Would you use an external platform and link or embed it into the blog?

  Hi orschiro,

  There’s no forum that can be embedded into a WordPress.com blog. Your only (possible) option is to a setup forum and put the link to your blog post in the forum manually. Anyone, please correct me if I’m wrong :)

  There’s no direct integration between WordPress.com and a forum software since WordPress.com does not allow any plugins to be installed.

  You may have better options if you go with self-hosted WordPress.org .

  Hi Robert,

  There are many open source and free forum solutions out there. phpBB is one of the popular ones (https://www.phpbb.com/). You probably need to do some research to see what’s out there and which one fits your needs.
